Belize is known for its rich bio-diversity and in the jungle here one can find many different species of birds such as toucans, kiscadees, parrots and macaws; reptiles such as iguanas, geckos, tortoises, and turtles; and small mammals including howler monkeys, agouti, paca (or gibnuts), as well as kinkajou.

This expansive property is also home to a wide variety of beautiful Belizean woods including; mahogany, the gum tree, bullet seeds, black orchid trees, as well as Cohune Palm trees, showcasing its fertile land and ability to grow an abundance of lush flora.

Location

This property is located in the Sibun Forest reserve, which is a huge tract of virgin forest that encompasses an area of over 1 million acres and includes Belize’s largest protected areas, including the Chiquibul National Park, and the Bladen Nature Reserve, as well as smaller reserves such as the Sittee River Forest Reserve, the Manatee Forest Reserve, as well as the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve which is the first Jaguar Preserve in the world.

Also nearby is the Excalibur Adventure Park, an adventure tourism destination offering five zip lines, Belize’s first “Via Ferrata” climbing experience, rappelling, caving, rafting, and a pool complex with water slides, beaches, and pool bar.

Less than an hour away is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Belize; the St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park. The National Park covers over 500 acres of rich tropical rainforest, and is home to over 200 bird species and a variety of wildlife, including howler monkeys, which can be heard regularly throughout the forest.

This property is located less than 45 minutes east of Belize’s capital city: Belmopan, a small city of 26,000 people that is home to the University of Belize, and is the heart of the Belizean Government. Belmopan has a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, with great opportunities to hike, and birdwatch in the surrounding areas. It is also home to The George Price Centre for Peace and Development, a museum and cultural center providing insights into Belize’s history, culture, and the life of the first Prime Minister of Belize: George Price.
