There are very reasonable annual HOA fees and these fees go towards paying for the grounds maintenance, clubhouse insurance, pay for the staff, and accounting services as required by the Government of Belize.  There is a very active Board of Directors who meet at least monthly and who work tirelessly to ensure the development is maintained, and that all owners are ensured a level of ownership and community that is so important in a gated community.

Approximately 10 miles away you will reach Corozal Town.  The road between Corozal and Sarteneja is currently being paved so only about 5 miles will be left as a dirt road.  Heading the other direction you will find Orange Walk Town approximately 17 miles away, however, the road is rough at the best of times.  Corozal Town does offer everything you will need.  An interesting part of this trip is taking the ferry across the New River, so be sure to allow extra time in your travel time for this potential “traffic jam”!

Corozal Town sits on the border between Belize and Mexico and it is just a short trip across the border to places like Chetumal where you can enjoy shopping in big box stores, go to the moves or have a Mexican holiday.
